They could be expanded in vitro, capable of differenitating into osteoblasts, chondrocytes and adipocytes. Umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (UMSCs) are one type of MSCs that derived from umbilical cord of new borns , which has been extensivley used in clinical trials of tisssue damage repair, anti-aging and immunosuppression.
