Diabetes mellitus could be divided into type I and II, characterized with fasting blood glucose ≥7.0 mmol/L, or fed blood glucose ≥11.1 mmol/, as well as hemoglobin A1C >9%. The complications of diabetes include diabetic foot, macular degeneration,diabetic nephropathy, etc.
